One of the five most visited and important temples in Jain culture. This Jain temple Ranakpur has 80 domes that are intricately carved and no two 2 pillars in the temple are the same. All the pillars have different carvings on them. This temple is made out of light white cream colour marbles and it is said and seen that the carvings on the temple pillars are not the same.
They are different from the rest of the carvings on the temple walls. There are four temples in the premises of the Ranakpur temple. This temple was built to continue and boost the religion of Jainism. This temple stands in 1444 pillars which are intricately hand crafted. This Jain Temple Ranakpur is situated on the river Maghai.
There are a set of rules that have to be followed by the tourists in order to get inside the temple. There are some basic rules like the ladies have to cover their heads before entering the temple premises, no kind of leather allowed and audio guide is a must for all the devotees who have come here to explore the temple.
