Dilwara Jain Temples are built in the Sirohi village of Mount Abu. This is a jain temple that was built by Vimal Shah and then by Vastupala who was a jain minister in the court of Vaghela’s of Gurjurata. This Dilwara Jain temple is built entirely using white marbles and the carvings on the walls of the temple are very beautiful. All the Dilwara Jain temples in Rajasthan are known for their carvings and impressive architectures.
This temple premise has five distinct Jain temples dedicated to different Tirthankaras. This Dilwara Jain temple was built between the 11th and 16th century. The Vimal hara temple and the Pittalhara jain temple is built for the 1st tirthankara Shri Adinatha Ji. Luna Vasahi temple is built for the 22nd tirthankara Shri Neminatha ji. There are two other Dilwara Jain temples that are dedicated to the 23rd and 24th Tirthankara of the Jain community.
These temples purely resemble the true peace, calm, spiritualism, persistence and devotion. The temple has a lot of Hindu and Jain scriptures and mythology. So when you come to this Dilwara Jain temple, it is a 2.5 kms drive from Abu road and is accessible through local state buses or by private or hired cars or cabs. Guru Shikhar
Guru Shikhar is the highest point of the Aravalli hills and is the most visited site by the tourists for its view and surroundings.
