Chamunda Mata Mandir is located in the Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Goddess Chamunda is considered to be the saviour of Jodhpur who protects this city from any harm. This temple was built by Rao Jodha in . Devotees often flock to this temple to pray for good health, manglik dosha and protection from evil. Some say that the king was cursed by a forever water shortage in the city of Jodhpur by a sage when he tried to move him from the Mehrangarh hill to construct the fort. The King then consulted the priests of his kingdom and took the advice of praying to Goddess Chamunda for mercy and help. This led to the king building a Goddess Chamunda mandir on the hill top and also then he started constructing the Mehrangarh Fort.
The temple is visited by all the hindu devotees whether local or tourist who come to the fort to explore the place. This temple has beautiful carvings of the hindu mythological gods on the walls and on the door that has been made with intricate carvings of hindu gods and goddesses. The idol of the goddess is made out of black marble and adorned with gold and silver jewelleries.

Mehrangarh is the closest and the nearest place where you can visit after worshipping the temple. The fort was built by the first ruler of Jodhpur Rao Jodha. The fort is built on the top of the Mehrangarh mountain. The king has made sure that the rich culture of the rajputs is clearly seen in their carvings. When you visit this place, you will see the handprints of the queens or the ladies of the royal family who had accepted Sati after the death of their husbands during a war. This fort is a sight worth watching and enjoying the sunrise and sunset from the palace.
Ghanta Ghar:
This is the most preferred place for recreational purposes by the locals of Jodhpur. This clock tower was made by the Maharaja Sardar Singh and the market around it was established in honour of the king.
