This is a natural lake. This lake is said to have originated from the 4th century BC. It is said that this lake was created when Lord Brahma dropped a lotus while performing a sacred pooja during those centuries. Since then this lake has held a historic and sacred importance for the Hindus. This lake is surrounded by ghats and is situated in the city of Pushkar. There are about 52 bath ghats surrounding this lake and are visited by hundreds and thousands of pilgrims during the Kartik Purnima period (October-November). This is a period during the most famous Pushkar Fair. This lake is surrounded by Aravalli Hills. This lake is separated from Ajmer by a Nag Parvat (snake mountain)of the Aravalli mountain ranges. This lake holds a lot of religious beliefs, stories and importance in Indian History.

1. Jagat Pita Shri Brahma Mandir: This temple is sacredly dedicated to Lord Brahma. It is open till evening 8 pm. After taking a holy dip in the Pushkar Lake, pilgrims often go to visit this temple.

2. Shree Savitri Mata Mandir: This temple is dedicated to the wife of lord Brahma. This temple is situated on a hill which is accessible through cable cars and trekking.

1 Dargah Sharif: It is a religious place built during the rule of Akbar. Tourists from far away come to visit this place.

2 Akbar’s Palace and Museum: This is a place where both the cultures and traditions of the Mughal and the Rajputs are put together under a single roof. This place is an absolute masterpiece for the architecture and the shapes of the building.
