A Hidden Gem of Rajasthan, Gaib Sagar Lake is an artificial lake located in the Dungarpur District of Rajasthan. Initially, this Lake was built by Maharawal Gopinath in 1428, to serve as a source of water to the district. After some time in 1600, Maharawal Punja Raj built the Shri Govardhan nath temple on the main pal of this Lake. This place is home to a wide range of migratory birds. This lake gives space to 124 bird species that come to Dungarpur every year to his Praja. Migratory birds such as ducks, flamingos, geese, grebes, pelicans, purple moorhens, Sarus Cranes, spoonbills, storks wigeons and white-breasted waterhens can be seen cooling off in the lake waters from November to February.
