History and importance
The fort of Alwar, popularly known as Bala Quila, is a historical fort situated near the region of Alwar, Rajasthan. Overlooking the city, this fort is perched at the top of the hills of Aravali. Initially, this fort was constructed in 928 CE by the Parmar Rajputs. Covering an area of more than 5 km, it consists of 15 large, 51 small towers and 446 musketry openings, which enhance its beauty. Bala Quila provides you with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and architectural beauty.
