History and importance
It is one of the most unique historical forts situated in Sri Ganganagar district of Anupgarh, Rajasthan. It is a small town located in the northwest part of Rajasthan, just next to the India-Pakistan borderline. This fort was built by the governor of Mughal saltanat named Shahbaz Khan Kamboh in the 17th century. Unlike the rich cultural buildings of Rajasthan, this fort is uniquely famous for its raw and historical presence. As it is located at the India-Pakistan border, this fort served well as a defense point for the Indian Army. Surrounded by agricultural land and the Ghaggar River, this place provides a scenic view and isolated experience to the visitors.
