To know how this fair got started, King Umed Singh invited Shri Ramdeoji to Nagaur to demonstrate his powers. After acknowledging their power, people were surprised by the saint’s powers and asked him to stay in Nagaur. After this, the fair became an annual event to honor the saint. And now, in the current times, this festival is considered one of the largest cattle trading fairs in India.
