Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh has announced the launch of a brand-new T10 cricket league in Canada, titled the Canada Super 60 League, in collaboration with Cricket Canada and UK-based Star 333 Sports Inc. The league’s inaugural season is scheduled to kick off in July 2025, aiming to popularize the sport across North America with an exciting 60-ball-per-side format.
A New Era for Canadian Cricket
Designed as a dynamic and fast-paced alternative to traditional formats, the Canada Super 60 aims to draw both seasoned cricket fans and new audiences. Organizers describe the league as a forward-thinking platform focused on expanding the sport’s footprint across Canada and the North American region.
Yuvraj Singh, who will play a key leadership role in the league, expressed his excitement in a public statement:
“I am thrilled to contribute my leadership and vision to the Canada Super 60 League. This competition might serve as a springboard for cricket’s development in this area. When worldwide celebrities and local talent are combined, something very unique is created. I am thrilled to be involved in this adventure and am eager to observe how this league will affect cricket in North America.”
First-of-its-Kind Dual-Gender Format in North America
The Canada Super 60 League will feature eight teams in its debut season, comprising a mix of domestic and international players. The tournament will also include a set number of players from ICC-affiliated countries to enhance diversity and competitiveness.
Significantly, the league will make history by featuring both men’s and women’s tournaments from its very first edition, making it the first cricket league in North America to offer such inclusivity. The first season will be held in Toronto, with the player draft dates expected to be announced soon.

Cricket Canada, the sport’s governing body in the country, views the league as a transformative development.

His prominence and in-depth understanding of the sport will help Canadian cricket reach new heights. We think this league will be essential to developing Canadian talent, both male and female,” said Amjad Bajwa, President of Cricket Canada.
Abhishek Shah, founder and managing director of Star 333 Sports Inc., echoed the league’s vision for cricket’s future in the region.
