The third umpire’s call sparked a lot of discussion on social media, with many people criticising it.
Virender Sehwag was later questioned about if the choice would have changed if Dhoni hadn’t been out. “I don’t believe that MS Dhoni’s not being out would have changed anything. How much would CSK have gotten to if he hadn’t been out? No more than 130? When did KKR manage to reach the 10-over target? Instead of today, we would have examined the game around 11:30 p.m. Sehwag stated on Star Sports that it would have been the sole distinction.
