Rishabh Pant was born into a middle-class family in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. Saroj Pant is a stay-at-home mom, and his father, Rajendra Pant, taught at schools.
Pant travelled to Delhi with his mother when he was 12 years old in order to train at the Sonnet Cricket Academy under coach Tarak Sinha. Despite his initial struggles, he eventually moved to Rajasthan and subsequently returned to Delhi to play local cricket.
