Priyansh Arya was born in Fatehabad, Haryana, on January 18, 2001, and was brought up in Delhi by his parents, who were both educators. Under the guidance of famous coach Sanjay Bhardwaj, who has also tutored players like Gautam Gambhir and Unmukt Chand, he started playing cricket at the age of seven when he joined at the L.B. Shastri Cricket Academy.

Against the North Delhi Strikers in the 2024 DPL season, Arya displayed his explosive batting ability by hitting 120 runs off 50 balls, including six sixes in a single over. His ability to overpower bowlers and anchor innings was demonstrated by his steady high-scoring innings, which included 107 off 55 balls and 88 off 42 balls.

IPL teams took notice of Arya’s domestic performances, and in the 2025 IPL auction, Punjab Kings purchased him for ₹3.8 crore. On March 25, 2025, he made his IPL debut by smashing a scorching 47 off 23 balls against the Gujarat Titans.
He reached his century in just 39 deliveries, which is the joint-fourth quickest in IPL history, with an incredible 103 off 42 balls against the Chennai Super Kings on April 8, 2025. He won Player of the Match after leading Punjab Kings to a commanding total with seven fours and nine sixes in this innings.
