The well-known Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and social crusader Teji Bachchan welcomed Amitabh Bachchan into the world on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, India. He was exposed to literature, music, and art at a young age since he grew up in a culturally diverse atmosphere. After completing his education at Sherwood College in Nainital, Amitabh went on to Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, to obtain a degree in science.

He first contemplated a career in engineering or the Indian Air Force, but his love of performing brought him to Mumbai, where he followed his aspirations in the film industry.

In 1969, Amitabh Bachchan debuted in Bollywood with the movie “Saat Hindustani”. He was acknowledged as a gifted newbie even if the movie didn’t do well commercially. In “Anand” (1971), he had a pivotal part with Rajesh Khanna, winning him his first Filmfare Award for Best Supporting part.
