  Storyline:
   As her husband Tahir is tormenting her both physically and emotionally, Uzma Ahmed, claiming to be an Indian citizen, goes into the Indian Embassy in Pakistan and for assistance. After cross-referencing her information and confirming her passport, the embassy personnel clearly sees that she is neither a terrorist or an ISI operative, as they initially believed. Tahir asserts that JP Singh, an Indian ambassador in Pakistan, has forcibly detained Uzma at the embassy despite JP Singh offering her sanctuary there.
  
  Tahir’s accusations are damaging India’s reputation abroad, so JP urges Uzma to speak out about the abuse she endured at the hands of her husband. following the story of Uzma, who was defrauded, sent to Pakistan, and coerced into marrying Tahir, who mistreated her both physically and psychologically. Since Uzma’s visa is due to expire during this time and the embassy is legally unable to provide her with refuge beyond that, JP only has three weeks to provide justice. The Diplomat is inspired by true events and follows an Indian diplomat navigating high-stakes international politics, espionage, and conflict resolution.
